UN GARDENIA LA NUIT produces the unmistakeable, almost carnal scent of this white flower, for which no natural essence exists. To achieve this stunning feat, Dominique Ropion worked with headspace, a modern technology that is used to analyse the scent molecules present in an air sample. This is how he managed to reproduce the flower’s scent almost identically... Immortalised on a summer’s night, the gardenia reveals the full complexity of its milky, spicy, fruity fragrance, which is also irresistibly fresh and green.
